And Fauquier Home Birth

A woman nurses her baby while another child looks on

Serving Northern Virginia, Fauquier, Warren, Clarke, Frederick, Prince William and Fairfax counties and surrounding areas.

Every woman and each pregnancy is unique; there is no one-size-fits-all, but the industrial medical model can leave you feeling like a cog on an assembly line. The average time an OB spends face to face with a patient can be as little as 8 minutes per visit. Midwifery care is personal and individualized, tailored to each person. We provide the tools and information you need to take control over your own experience, harmonizing our services with your family's values and goals.

Our practice is based on classical midwifery—holistic, skilled, loving, and respectful. You and your needs are at the center of your care, not any institution's protocols, scheduling, or liability concerns. You always have choices about how you are cared for, and informed decision-making is at the core of our philosophy.

Holistic

We are much more than physical bodies. Your emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing are given attention in midwifery care as well as your physical needs. We care about everything that is going on in your world because it all matters.

Skilled

Certified professional midwife with the North American Registry of Midwives. Licensed Midwife, State of Virginia. Over 300 births attended.

Loving and Respectful

Pregnancy/childbearing is a normal, natural part of life, originally perfectly designed by a good and loving Creator. In general, the less this design is interfered with, the better things go, which makes perfect sense! Mothers carry intuitive knowledge about their own bodies, babies and the birthing process, and the midwife can come alongside to educate, monitor, and provide reassurance that all is staying in the realm of normalcy. My objective is simply to nurture you as you maintain full autonomy over your birth journey.
